In order to create a sustainable society, the Undergraduate School of Chemical Science and Technology promotes the development of a creative form of basic science and advanced technology, as well as research in interdisciplinary fields, to address global - and space-scale issues. The school provides an education with an emphasis on basic science and engineering in a wide range of chemistry-related fields, and cultivates scientists, researchers, and engineers who can play an active role in various areas of chemistry that support society, such as the creation of materials and their various functions, the use of energy, and the understanding and application of life and biological systems.
